Friends of glmnet

Up to this point in the book, we’ve focused exclusively on elastic net models in R (with ridge and lasso regression as special cases) and how to use them in a wide array of settings. While we think that the glmnet R package can meet many of your modeling needs, we know that it is just one tool in a prediction modelers toolbox. In this part of the book, we explore related parts of the regularized regression modeling world.
